YLE Mondo - Your foreign language radio in Finland
YLE Mondo is a 24-hour world radio channel available throughout Finland as part of YLE Digital TV services. Most of the programming comes from select international radio services. YLE produces an extensive service in Russian, news in English, Finnish language lessons by radio as well as programming in plain Finnish, a simplified form of Finnish for easier understanding by immigrants and other students of Finnish.Exceptions in March
There are a few exceptions to the YLE Mondo programming during the last weeks of March (14.-27.3.), due to North America starting summer time two weeks earlier than Europe.The normal schedule starts again on Sunday, March 28. The Diane Rehm Show from NPR, for instance, will then be back on Monday to Friday at 5 pm.
Deutsche Welle in English
Deutsche Welle can now be heard on YLE Mondo also in English. Deutsche Welle’s hour in English is aired every day at 19:00. The programme begins with a half hour news package and continues with a half-hour feature section.Deutsche Welle’s German language output on YLE Mondo will remain unchanged.

The YLE Mondo FM 97.5 MHz (cable 107.3) in Helsinki area offers you 24 hours of news and features in co-operation with major international broadcasters.
